Account Information

When users create and maintain an account, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Company name
• Account login credentials

Operational Information

To provide oversize transport and pilot car coordination services, Merge may collect:

• Job assignments
• Load and transport information
• Route details entered by users
• Vehicle information provided by users
• Communications made through the platform
• Device information such as device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic information

• Home address and coordinates: When setting up your profile, we collect your home address (including geographic coordinates) through Google Places Autocomplete. This is used to match you with nearby jobs and calculate routes.
• Real-time GPS (Backhaul mode): When you voluntarily enable "Backhaul" mode, the app collects your precise GPS location in the background (approximately every 10 meters of movement). This tracking:
  • Only activates when you manually enable Backhaul mode
  • Automatically stops when you reach your home address or disable the feature
  • Is used to show your availability and location to other users seeking pilot / transport services on your return route
  • Stores only the most recent location — previous locations are overwritten, not retained as a history
• Reverse geocoding: Your GPS coordinates may be sent to Google's Geocoding API to determine your approximate city or locality for display purposes.
• You can disable location tracking at any time by turning off Backhaul mode within the app or by revoking location permissions in your device settings.

We may share information with:

• Authorized users and organizations participating in transport operations through Merge
• Service providers who assist in operating and maintaining the platform
• Government authorities, regulators, or law enforcement agencies when required by law

Merge does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

We retain user data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill legal, operational, and contractual obligations.

• Account information is retained while an account remains active and for up to 24 months after account closure.
• Job, dispatch, transport, and operational records are retained for up to 7 years.
• Device and system logs are retained for up to 12 months.

When retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Users can delete their account directly from the app.

Upon receiving a verified request, we will delete or anonymize applicable personal information within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain certain records for regulatory, legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Firebase Analytics tracks screen views and UI interaction events.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Merge is intended for business and professional use and is not directed toward individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app and/or on our website. Continued use of Merge following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
